D Cell Battery Holders | Heavy-Duty Cylindrical Enclosures

Engineering Overview We engineered our D Cell battery holders to secure high-capacity power sources in rugged industrial instrumentation, utility metering, and heavy-duty portable devices. Given the extreme mass and volume of a standard D size cell, these enclosures are molded from impact-resistant, UL 94V-0 rated plastics (PP or ABS) to maintain structural integrity under severe mechanical stress and thermal variations.

Contact Mechanics & Retention To prevent contact bounce and power interruption caused by the battery’s heavy physical mass, our holders utilize heavy-gauge coiled spring contacts or reinforced leaf springs. Precision-stamped from high-yield Spring Steel or Brass and finished with industrial Nickel plating, these contacts guarantee sustained high-pressure retention and low contact resistance across the hardware’s operational lifecycle.

Engineering Protocol To ensure 1:1 precision replacement for standard Keystone or MPD equivalents, deployment of our Senior NPI Engineering Team is required.
