Engineering Overview SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) battery contacts are precision-stamped terminals engineered for automated high-volume PCB assembly. Designed to replace traditional through-hole variants, these low-profile contacts minimize board real estate while delivering stable spring force and low contact resistance for coin cell and cylindrical battery architectures.

Material & Tape-and-Reel Packaging Fabricated from high-modulus substrates—including Phosphor Bronze, Beryllium Copper, and Spring Steel—our contacts maintain mechanical memory across thousands of insertion cycles. Each terminal is finished with Gold, Nickel, or Tin plating to prevent oxidation and optimize solderability. For seamless integration into SMT pick-and-place lines, all components are supplied on standard Tape-and-Reel (TR) packaging.

PCB Layout & Yield Optimization The flat base geometry of our SMT contacts is strictly controlled to ensure a coplanar soldering interface. This stringent tolerance matrix eliminates wave-soldering tombstoning defects and maximizes automated assembly yield. The SMT architecture is highly suited for compact IoT sensors, wearable medical devices, smart home electronics, and RF modules where vertical space is constrained.
