AA / AAA Battery Holders | THM, SMT & Wire Lead Enclosures

Engineering Overview We engineered our AA and AAA battery holders to provide secure power integration for portable electronics, IoT sensors, and medical instrumentation. To support diverse PCB layouts and enclosure designs, these compartments are available in 1-cell to 8-cell configurations with multiple termination styles, including Through-Hole Mount (THM), Surface-Mount (SMT), PC pins, and pre-stripped wire leads. The housings are molded from UL 94V-0 rated plastics (PP, ABS, or High-Temp LCP for SMT variants) to ensure dimensional stability and structural rigidity.

Contact Mechanics & Retention Our design utilizes precision-stamped leaf springs or coiled wire springs to maintain constant pressure against the cell terminals, compensating for battery length variations while absorbing mechanical shock. The contacts are fabricated from high-yield Spring Steel or Brass and finished with industrial-grade Nickel plating. This architecture guarantees low contact resistance and prevents oxidation, ensuring uninterrupted power delivery across the hardware’s operational lifecycle.
